Frequently asked questions

What is Airbrush Makeup?

Only the hottest thing especially for brides! So what it is, is a light-weight makeup applied through an air gun machine that produces a thin, even layer of makeup and creates a very matte finish. I as your MUA will customize a foundation color for a perfect blend to match your skin tone. Since it’s such a fine mist your true skin tone shows through which makes it look more natural and not so much caked on. It will not transfer onto clothing, In professional photographs it looks amazing! Airbrush makeup is waterproof (bring on those tears!) and it won’t go anywhere until you wash it off. Be sure you don’t wipe away sweat/tears and instead ‘blot’. This will help guarantee your 16 hours of wear.

How do you keep your products sanitary?

It is very important to make sure that the person you hire for your hair and makeup is sanitary.  A good makeup artist will sanitize their hands right in front of you, have clean brushes, and a tidy makeup kit.  I always begin applying makeup using cleaned and disinfected brushes and products. I have been professionally trained to know how to keep everything clean and sanitary.  My brushes are cleaned before each work day, and cleaned with antibacterial brush cleaner between clients.  I do not share lipsticks and other products between clients, they are always taken out with spatulas and then mixed on a sanitized cosmetic palette.  All eyeshadows and eye/lip liners are disinfected with cosmetic sanitizer between usages as well.

How long will it take?

Generally a hairstyle and make-up will probably take approximately up to two and a half hours. It depends on how many looks are tried, the length of the hair and what else is involved.

How far in advance should I book you?

I start booking weddings/other events atleast 6 months in advance.

Do I need to have a hair and/or make-up trial prior to my wedding?

I recommend all potential brides to have a wedding hair and /or make-up trial prior to their wedding day. However, in some cases it may not be possible, due to time limitations or possibly distance. In that instance, I would gather as much information as possible prior to the date and ensure a thorough consultation takes place on the day before the wedding hair and/or make-up is carried out. Like any trial or practice run, it allows you the time to iron out queries, or worries that you have about your wedding hair and make-up, by trying out various options and possibilities. It gives me the chance to thoroughly consult with you, finding out about the look and feel that you are trying to achieve. .

What is the booking procedure?

The booking procedure is a very simple one which involves: Clarifying the costs. Paying the 50% deposit to secure the event date.

Should I bring anything with me? Ex.Wedding dress?

It is always a good idea to bring your wedding/party outfit along to your trial, or any other accessories. It will be a great opportunity to try them on with your finished hair and make-up look and be sure that you are happy with how they are working together. And if you're unable to bring in your outfit then a picture is always a good idea.
